Over the years, two distinct cemeteries were established on church property. The oldest and largest cemetery, usually called the "Walnut Grove Cemetery," is located northwest of the church building and dates from about 1825; the second cemetery was established about 1858, usually called the "Brazelton" or "Old Stovall" cemetery, is located east of the church building. Both cemeteries are actively used for burials and have traditionally been used by both members of the congregation and families in the community.
These cemeteries are managed and controlled by a Board of Trustees appointed by the Church Council. The trustees are responsible for selling burial plots, providing deeds of interment and the maintenance of the grounds and landscaping. The recurring costs of maintenance are paid by donations collected during an annual Memorial Day worship service.
